This geometric palm/plant motif was very popular and was produced by Kohn and Thonet in various backrest designs for chairs and sofas. Stylistically of the Arts and Crafts, Art Nouveau and Brooklyn vintage spirit. Kohn became one of the main competitors of Gebrüder Thonet (Brothers Thonet).
