Arts & Craft oak armchair with spindle sides and tweed upholstery, Belgium, 1920s

Price: Price on request

A handsome Belgian Arts & Crafts armchair dating from the 1920s, crafted in solid oak with a warm, richly grained patina. The chair displays the movement's characteristic emphasis on craftsmanship and honest construction, featuring elegant spindle sides, gently curved arm supports, and beautifully shaped legs that lend the piece a refined architectural presence.

A particularly appealing feature is the adjustable reclining backrest, allowing the seating position to be altered for added comfort. The chair has recently been reupholstered in a textured tweed fabric in natural tones, complementing the warmth of the oak while providing a fresh yet sympathetic update.

The combination of robust craftsmanship and subtle decorative detailing makes this chair an excellent addition to Arts & Crafts, Rustic, Cottage, Wabi-Sabi, or Early Modern interiors. Equally suitable as a reading chair, fireside seat, or accent piece.

Presented in good condition with normal signs of age and use consistent with its period. The upholstery is clean and fresh.
