Beautiful and rare to find Cheval dressing mirror Model 9954 designed by Michael Thonet and manufacturered by Bistritz in 1904 in Wien, Austria. This swivel version of the iconic mirror was executed in stained red-brown beech wood and bentwood. In the official catalogs, it can be found for the first time in supplement L. of the 1904 catalog, September 1905. It embodies the new design language of Viennese Art Nouveau and has a much more reduced form than the first dressing mirror "Psyche".
Thonet is one of the oldest family businesses in the furniture industry. Since 1819, Thonet has been producing high-quality design furniture, including some true design classics. The famous bentwood furniture and tubular steel classics from the Bauhaus era are characteristic of Thonet's style and collection.
