A very rare find this French Art Nouveau fire place screen. Crafted around 1910. This piece contains a wooden frame in the shape of a trapezium with rounded corners - filled with an openwork of a tree and leaves modeled in brass sheet. Behind the brass decoration a glossy rimpled fabric that contrasts the wood and metal beautifully. The whole supported on a pair of tripods. The back of the screen in wood.
